Humble beginnings: From UT to DC to NYC
Idealism was the impetus for establishing The Greening Law Firm, P.C. Founder Ron Greening was a successful young U.T. Austin electrical engineer rapidly climbing the corporate ladder of a very fine corporation when he realized that he may be climbing the wrong ladder for him. After lots of counseling and soul searching, he decided to go to law school. After law school Greening went to Washington, D.C. for a year to see how Big Government works (or doesn't work). He found it fascinating and practiced there for 6 years. As he was about to return to Austin to hang out his shingle, some New York business associates recruited him to work on Wall Street with them. There Greening learned an entirely different perspective of the world.
The Greening Law Firm, since 1983
In the Summer of 1983, Greening regained his senses and moved back to Austin to open his dream-a solo law practice. The practice opened as a general civil practice in real estate (Greening found a real estate boom going on when he arrived), estate planning, and a few claims.
Focusing on Estate Planning and Estate Administration in Central Texas
The Firm began in sublet offices of a fine old Texas firm with Greening and two U.T. part-time student interns. The Firm now has three attorneys, five legal assistants, two client services personnel, and growing. Twenty years ago Greening decided to provide more in-depth services to his clients by limiting his practice to estate planning and estate administration.
Dedicated to helping clients with asset protection
The Firm is dedicated to helping people make informed decisions about the management of their assets and health care and assisting them in establishing the legal framework for implementing those decisions. The Greening Law Firm, P.C. accomplishes this through listening to the client about their hopes, desires, and fears. Following this extensive interview, we educate the client on how their intentions may be addressed and many times raise concerns that the client had not considered. After crafting, drafting, and the client signing a plan to accomplish the client's desires and avoid many things that they fear will happen, we more frequently than not receive hugs from the client.

The Greening Law Firm, P.C. strives to exceed client expectations while providing exceptional estate plans and advice during administrations of estates. The Firm accomplishes this through listening to the client and client education. Most clients do not know all the estate planning areas that they need to consider to provide the outcomes they desire.

The attorneys in The Greening Law Firm, P.C. keep in touch with changing desires of clients individually and overall through informal focus groups at workshops they teach and listening to client's responses. They also keep abreast of changes in regulations, laws and planning techniques by participating in numerous local, state and national professional estate planning groups and bar associations.
